"55
- Tradition vs Contemporary"
5 Mongolian & 5 Austrian young artists present new works between regional traditional & contemporary approaches

On the Occasion of the 55th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Mongolia and the Republic of Austria
Ms. Battungalag Gankhuurai Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Austria and Dr. Kolja Kramer, Director KOLJA KRAMER FINE ARTS, have the honor to invite to the exhibition "55 - Tradition vs Contemporary". 5 young artists from Mongolia and 5 young artists from Austria present new works between regional traditional and contemporary approaches.
Many works celebrate detail, contour and colour realised with brilliant draftsmanship and technical skill. Some positions break the contour and develop in a more open space within the picture. Some works remind us of traditional, sometimes even of medieval - european and asian - miniature painting. The exhibition is mainly a flatwork exhibition with installative exceptions: one of the mongolian artists, Mrs. Otgonbat Bat-Rottmann, is married to an austrian. She will present an installation on her wedding to the austrian in Mongolia.
